The Tile Shop in Woodbury hosted Wedi Training with Art Reetz. Kevin and I attended and we brought along all 3 boys. Wyatt fell asleep and the older 2 played video games. The staff at The Tile Shop was so kind and understanding of us having to bring the entire family. There was free pizza and drinks. This was Kevin's 3rd Wedi training! He uses this opportunity to network and see if there is any new products or techniques. I enjoyed learning the process of building a shower with the Wedi system. I see the benefit of saving time with using foam boards which are lighter and easier to cut. Art did the shower prep in about 30 minutes using basic power tools and a utility knife. We could save days using this system! Wedi also has an incredible waterproof sealant to bond the panels together. I was impressed that you do not need to band the panels (like in the Schluter System). Wedi does have a banding available in their catalog. Kevin and I met fellow tile setters that we have only seen on social media. It was fun to network and get a chance to talk with other people in our industry. We look forward to trying the Wedi shower systems in the future and this seminar gave me the knowledge to present information to our clients.
